The Corporate Center provides IT services across the entire Group and is in charge of in-house development of innovations such as surprize, the Group’s rewards programme. The experts in business analytics and fraud are crucial members of the Corporate Center staff and monitor credit card transactions round the clock. The business analytics staff supports the fraud team by providing daily case-based data analyses and takes care of setting up and further developing forecast models and reports for early detection of card abuse as the core of a back-end fraud analysis system. The goal is to ensure standard IT risk and security functionality covering all relevant aspects of data protection.
The scopes of these professional positions are as extensive as the associated responsibilities are diverse. The positions and functions to be filled in the Corporate Center include, among others, project manager, agent at the 24h call center, business manager in e- and m-commerce, software developer, database developer, risk agent, fraud agent, IT infrastructure and support analyst, IT project and change manager or business process manager.
Experts in business analytics and IT require primarily keen analytical and conceptual skills and an understanding of mathematical interconnections whereas fraud specialists must be able to engage in networked thought and action and be detail oriented and flexible. Depending on the job responsibilities involved, additional requirements might be university degrees in IT, business analysis or mathematics and physics as well as solid knowledge of statistics with specialisation in data mining methods. Good oral and written skills in German and English are of course also essential.
